PURPOSE OF THE SCHOOL

The purpose of Cornerstone Christian Academy is to provide an atmosphere in which young people are encouraged to receive Truth and recognize and avoid error. Jesus instructed His disciples, "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32). Not only is it our objective to teach the truth, but also to teach our students how to apply the truth wisely in their own lives. In John 16:13, we are promised that "when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth."

CCA has the responsibility to provide the best education possible. A biblical viewpoint in the vital areas of life - spiritual growth, education, personal self-discipline, and patriotism - must be strongly stressed to each student during his years of training. We desire to minister to the needs of the whole child, and to promote his spiritual and moral growth, academic and intellectual progress, and physical and social development (Luke 2:52).

The purpose of CCA is to be an extension of the Christian home and church (Deut. 6; Matt. 28:18-20), and thus to provide a continuity of training for Christian young people.

As Christian educators, we desire to train each student to accept individual responsibility to God for his actions and to challenge him to glorify God in every facet of his life (Col. 2:6-7; Titus 2:11-15).

CURRICULUM

At Cornerstone Christian Academy, Bible is taught as an academic subject with a devotional and practical emphasis (Col. 1:9-29). We utilize a graded approach combined with appropriate Scripture memorization. Our primary objective in teaching Bible is the development of Christlike behavior in each student. Our chapel programs (1Cor. 1:18) are designed to reinforce and supplement the teaching of Bible through word and song.

Academically, the course offerings at CCA are structured for the average to above-average student. We endeavor to meet each student's needs based on his innate ability and his initiative to make satisfactory progress in school.

The Bible is accepted as the absolute standard of truth, and all subject matter is presented in light of Scripture. The kindergarten and elementary curriculum includes subject matter normally expected in a program of education at generally accepted grade levels.

PERSONNEL

Since Cornerstone Christian Academy is an integral part of Epsom Bible Chruch, all teachers and staff members must be members of the church and be regular in their attendance (Heb. 10:22-25). Teachers and staff members function as role models for students; therefore, they must be examples of Christ-likeness in living lives that are above reproach (1Tim. 4:12).

CCA will only employ teachers who are academically qualified in their field, having completed as a minimum a bachelor's degree from a recognized college. The professional preparation of the instructional staff is a part of the school's testimony and its commitment to parents to provide quality instruction for its students. All professional staff members are required to hold certification with the State of New Hampshire Department of Education or ACSI, and to maintain their certification in a current status.

ADMISSIONS

The rationale for the existence of Cornerstone Christian Academy is to promote the spiritual development of each student to the principles of God's Word (Rom. 12:1-2). While parents may not agree entirely with every principle we hold, we ask, as a condition of enrollment, that they agree to support the school in its program of instruction and discipline while the children are in the school.

If the student applicant for grade one and above has not made a personal profession of faith at the time the application is submitted, at least one parent or legal guardian must be a professing Christian by biblical definition.

The Cornerstone Christian Academy will accept students of any race, nationality, or ethnic background to all of the programs provided by the school.
